Morning Garden Stream Shawl Pattern

Emulating the painting for which it is named, this shawl has an asymmetrical shape made up of four sections. The body features seed stitch and openwork motifs with a contrasting band and winged edge.

Designed to pair with my handpainted yarn in the colorway “Morning Garden Stream” but will pair nicely with any light weight fingering.

Pattern calls for 50 g of contrasting color, but you will really only use about 15-25g.

Yarn:
MC- 1 skein of The Knitting Artist: Light, handpaint 100g/456 yards, shown in Morning Garden Stream
CC - any mini skein/leftover of choice. If you want this specific blue, please reach out.

Needles:
US size 3, 24 in or longer circular. Or size needed for gauge.

Approx. wingspan - 40 inches
Approx. height - 17 inches

One size, but easy to adjust by adding extra stockinette rows.

Gauge is only critical if you want it to be these exact dimensions.

Must be able to knit, purl, yarn-over and understand basic knitting instructions.
